Hello Folks!
In the beginning of March, we took part in a 3-day gamification training for the project “My Soft City” that was held by our Portuguese partners in Madeira. This comes after the meeting held in Nîmes (France) that focused on how to illustration; and in Madeira the participants were given the opportunity to learn how to transform these drawings into a game around the city.
We were hosted by the partner organization ARTE.M and we had the chance to have our meetings in the inspiring setting of the “Caravel” Art Center.
On the first day we played an interactive game around the city of Funchal (main city of the Madeira Island) and we gained some first-hand experience on the theme of the project. On the second day we analysed the concept of gamification as a wider concept as well as how it is applied to influence each player. On our last day every participant attended another watercolour painting workshop as well as creating different games related to tourism and the island.
It was great to experience the diverse culture in Madeira and its amazing people. We are all looking forward to the next event and the next adventure!
