Thanks for our host and leading partner for arranging an intensive and proactive online training.
The first day included presentations of the local-national reality on the situation of migrants and refugees in the partner countries. The members of each organization presented their national and local reality and then, all together, we identified similarities and differences in this complex and multidimensional issue!
The second day included a presentation on the issues of marginalization and social exclusion and how it relates to supporting. The partners also had the opportunity to speak with Ms. Svolianiti, Representative of the DRC (Danish Refugee Council) Greece, and learn more about how a hot spot works and what activities are planned at the reception centers for the integration and integration of refugees. ! They also gained knowledge about best practices applied in the reception centers of Greece, as well as personal experiences from working with refugees! Finally, the partners presented best practices based on EU-funded or national projects and initiatives and discussed the milestones and challenges of integration!
On the third and fourth day of our Staff Training, the partners and members of the partner organizations gained useful knowledge about strategic planning, strategic process and SWOT analysis and how to apply them in both business and non-formal training contexts! In addition, the partners had the opportunity to learn the history of human rights and discussed the importance of being respected and enjoyed by every human being in the world, while also having the opportunity to experience a role play where they were asked to make some important decisions about life and put ourselves in the place of a refugee!
Finally, the last day of education was devoted to education on a culture of peace. The partners collaborated in groups across the country to design and present their “Community Maps” with all the strengths and opportunities they have on the issue of immigrant and refugee integration and then discussed and exchanged useful and constructive ideas for developing and improving their maps!
