Spatial Footprints

The studies on spatial dynamic processes in urban and rural landscapes are being perceived as an alternative activity for adults with the support of informal education methods based on digital technologies and systematization of skills for social and cultural heritage interpretation. The studies of old maps, plans of places, landscapes, pictures, which represent the dynamics in the previous and recent times between the Baltic and Nordic countries.
These create the preconditions to elaborate a new and extraordinary approach for cultural tourism development in the form of spatial dynamic tourism promotion. The studies of human migrations, historical events, social and cultural processes imply on a better understanding of social and cultural disparities and their created values and identities, as spatial footprints in the dynamics of time and space. The gaining competences on spatial analysis of landscapes using GIS tools, creation of spatial dynamic tourism routes and their media for promotion with heritage interpretation through informal adults’ education, these promote the creation of evidence-based mapped, textual and digital spatial dynamic tourism products elaborated by adults’ seeking to get more involved in the tourism sector.

The project results are devoted to adults, who seek to get more abilities and skills in spatial dynamic tourism planning and in the creation of digital tourism products and to present them into tourism market as an alternative source of incomes in the promotion of spatial dynamic tourism as an alternative niche tourism between the Baltic and Nordic countries.
