We have accumulated a vast experience over the years.
This two-year collaboration of eight project partners has set the goal of developing innovative methods and tools to assist people with low qualifications in acquiring knowledge on economic and financial matters as well as key competences (including writing, reading and calculating ability) to strengthen basic skills.
On the one hand the focus of this E+ project are two topics and goals: The horizontal goal is to support individuals in acquiring and developing basic skills and key competences. With regards to the adult education, it is about improving and extending the supply of high quality learning opportunities tailored to the needs of individual low-skilled or low-qualified adults. On the other hand, the focus of this project is the communication of contents, which are also essential for people with low qualifications in order to be able to act meaningfully and economically in everyday life. The contents are reworked with the help of pictures, explanatory videos, simple texts and examples especially for the mentioned target group.
The objective of the project partners is to work on all topics and contents so that they are understandable for the target group “low qualified persons” in the project partner countries.
All topics are important in order to be able to act properly without higher or vocational training. Experience has shown that people with lower qualifications in particular have lower incomes (compared to those with good training), so it is even more important to have the knowledge in order to make the right financial decisions. People who have a bad education often are very difficult to motivate themselves for education. In order to reach the uneducated clientele in the project regions, it requires stakeholders, e.g. career counselors, migrants’ advisors, social workers, media and volunteer education initiatives.
